Azat Bikmurzin, General Director of PJSC Nizhnekamskneftekhim, took part in the World Urban Parks -2019 World Congress, which was held in Kazan from 18 to 20 October. The Congress brought together experts from Australia, New Zealand, the USA, Africa, Europe and the CIS countries. This year it gathered over 130 speakers and 1,500 delegates from all five continents. The main topic of discussion was the development of parks and cities in the interests of environmental sustainability and the wellness of citizens.
Azat Bikmurzin participated as a speaker in the panel discussion “The economy of values. Models of financing natural areas.” He presented his report “Economy of the company's environmental programs and the greening of production facilities” to the audience.
In his speech, Azat Bikmurzin noted that Nizhnekamskneftekhim gives principal emphasis to improving the environment, and is investing substantial amounts in its resolution. To this end, the company has been implementing the fourth environmental program ever since 2001. Its activities are aimed at the application of modern technologies, the conservation of natural resources, the use of emitted gases as fuel, the optimization of the process conditions, etc.
As a result, in 2014 to 2018, the specific feed consumption decreased by 8.4%, thermal energy - by 4.2%, water for plant use - by 9.5%; specific air emissions were reduced by 17%.
Over the past 5 years, the consumption of fresh river water has decreased - by 4 mln 596 thou. cubic meters, i.e. by 6.4%.
During the environmental program activity since 2014, 96 subdivisions of Nizhnekamskneftekhim have implemented 96 actions to reduce air pollutant emissions, the costs amounted to about 715 mln rubles.
Due to introduction of environmental protection actions, enhancing process discipline, change of equipment a good one, and return of effluents to the fuel network in the context of an intensive increase of the commercial product output, the company managed to reduce atmospheric emissions from 2001 by 27,370 tons, or by 57%, given by a double increase of commercial product output.
A large-scale revamp of biological treatment plants has been carried out: the most modern technologies and the latest equipment have been introduced. The total cost of implementing this project, including the construction of a new header, amounted to 3 bln rubles.
