Acceleration of the Implementation of the Strategic Development Program of OAO Nizhnekamskneftekhim

July 3, 2013. In the city of Blagoveshchensk, Republic of Bashkortostan, the Russian Prime Minister, Dmitry Medvedev, chaired a meeting of the Russian Government on significant acceleration of  development of the Petrochemical and Refining Industry in the Russian Federation. The meeting was attended by the President of the Republic of Tatarstan, R.N. Minnikhanov, as well as by the Managers of large industrial enterprises of the Republic of Tatarstan.

In follow-up of this meeting, on July 18, 2013, the President of the Republic of Tatarstan, R.N. Minnikhanov held a business meeting with the Management members of OAO TAIF and OAO NIZHNEKAMSKNEFTEKHIM. It was noted that further development of OAO Nizhnekamskneftekhim  significantly affects the dynamic development of the petrochemical industry in the Russian Federation. As part of its strategic development program, the Company will have to carry out the amount of work three times bigger in scale than the one implemented for the last 15 years, and in a shorter time as well.

In connection with this, in order to achieve the objectives, a strategic decision was adopted to create a post of a Deputy General Director of OAO TAIF for the Management and Strategic Development of OAO Nizhnekamskneftekhim and appoint to this post the Director General of OAO Nizhnekamskneftekhim,  Vladimir M. Busygin.

Background:

Vladimir Busygin was born on November 14, 1949 in the City of Krasnokamsk, Perm region. After graduating from the Krasnokamsky Pulp & Paper Technical School in 1969, he entered the Perm Polytechnic Institute. His working career he began after graduation in 1974 as a probationer of the Chief of Shift, operator, Chief operator of the Shop, Deputy Shop Manager at Bereznikovsky nitrogen fertilizer plant named after Voroshilov. At this enterprise Vladimir Busygin was working until 1981. From 1981 to 1986 he worked at Rossoshansky chemical plant named after the 60th Anniversary of the USSR, Voronezh region. From 1986 to 1988 – he is the Head of the Engineering and Technology Department, Regional Manager of the Severodonetsk Sectorial Production Division of the Orgminudobreniya Trust. In 1988, Vladimir Busygin was appointed a Chief Engineer at the chemical plant named after L.Y. Karpov. In 1992, he is an Engineering Manager of the Soviet-Czechoslovak Joint Venture "Mende-Rossi" in Mendeleevsk. In January 1995, Vladimir Busygin is appointed General Director of OAO Chemical Plant named after L.Y. Karpov. In 1999, Vladimir Busygin took charge of OAO Nizhnekamskneftekhim. He holds a Candidate of Science {Engineering} and Doctor of Economics Degrees.

It was decided to appoint Oleg N. Nesterov to the position of the General Director of OAO Nizhnekamskneftekhim. He has been working for OAO Nizhnekamskneftekhim more than 30 years, and made his carrier from  a compressor units operator to the Deputy General Director for Production.

Background:

Oleg Nesterov was born May 14, 1960 in Mamadysh region of Tatarstan. In 1977, he entered SGPTU-44 in Nizhnekamsk, finished his studies in 1978, began to work as nitrogen, oxygen and compressed air compressors’ operator in the Gas Plant at OAO Nizhnekamskneftekhim. From 1978 to 1983 he studied at the Kazan Institute of Chemical Technology and returned to the same plant as a Shift Supervisor and later he became the Director of the Synthetic Rubber Plant at OAO Nizhnekamskneftekhim. In 2007, he took charge of the Butyl Rubber Plant. Since 2012, Oleg Nesterov was the Deputy General Director for Production at OAO Nizhnekamskneftekhim. He holds a Candidate of Science {Engineering} Degree.

The President of the Republic of Tatarstan, R.N. Minnikhanov, set a challenge - to develop, over the next three months, a detailed list of additional measures to accelerate the implementation of major projects at OAO Nizhnekamskneftekhim.
